Yeah we were doing it anyway to keep our family in the loop about where we were and how it worked. Honestly it's probably way less that $10/hour, but we do it for the travel log anyway.

Sure you'll be able to upgrade this with more efficient turbines or something, but you'll also be able to put those more efficient turbines in a hydro-electric dam or wind turbine, or coal burning plant. I'm not seeing the ma

The issue is that currently the power is generated locally in Europe. In order for Morocco to export it's power to Europe, it would need the HVDC (high voltage direct current) power lines installed to cross the Mediterranean Sea.

Can you give some examples for how the moon is more hostile? I've always thought that for both you need a pressure suit but that the temps and radiation numbers were similar? Sure it's 21 days of hot then 21 days of cold instead o

There is a ton of evidence that as extremely poor people get richer they have less kids. People who earn less than $1 per day have more than 5 times as many children on average as people in first world countries

I think you're vastly underestimating the cost of the equipment, land, operators etc. The three pieces of heavy equipment would be >$5000/day. Plus 3 shifts of 3 skilled people would be another $1500/day. Plus the cost of

Digging holes requires a lot of horizontal space. Generally 2:1 width to depth is needed for standard topsoil. Go to deep too fast and you won't be able to get your digger and dump truck back out of the hole.

We use wildcard certs for a number of domains to support affiliate subdomains. So affiliate.example.com and affiliate2.example.com are all served by the same servers and thus all need to validate with one cert.

True, but if the cost of gas jumps back to >$4 where it was 2 years ago, will the cost of a supercharge go up as well?

Totally agree, the transmission for the Prius is astounding. It is truly amazing that they replaced everything about past transmissions with a single planetary gear system and it works beautifully.

It is only more cost effective to fly if he is the only person in the car. As soon as you add one passenger, the drive is the better value (depending on value of time).

"Since my trade-in Tundra was 10 years old with 178K miles, let's assume that's the life of the new vehicle too." That's a terribly faulty assumption. The average age of all cars on the road in the US is 11 years ol

Your logic uses the faulty assumption that you should always have a monthly payment. You shouldn't. Average live of a car is much longer than even a 7 year loan so at some point you shouldn't be making payments on it any longer. I

You could, you know, teach them how to swim? The reason so many children die of drowning is that so many don't know how to swim. MIT literally has a swim test requirement to graduate college for exactly this reason.
