It's pretty meaningless to me and I've lived in North Carolina. I have no idea what it would be like for another Raleigh to spring up there, plus North Carolina is not a nation state. I think it's just hard to come up with us

Insulting a cop is actually a crime in Germany. But ironically, you're probably in less danger for doing it than you would be in the US, where it's technically your right, but effectively not. In Germany, you'd get a citation

I've had this problem for years, and I think it's because I often switch my apple account between countries. The update notifications and the updates themselves come through on two different channels, which are usually out of sync

I think if you replace 'hackers' with 'guys' you get the basic definition of government: at some point, a nation picks its 'biggest meanest' (i.e. most capable) guy(s) to protect it and maintain order. Democrac

Every day, thousands of people smuggle improperly-packed liquids and gels through TSA security screening for completely benign reasons.

Wouldn't front running as a broker be illegal anyway, or is bitcoin somehow different? IIRC the SEC has already showed that it won't ignore financial crimes just because they're done with bitcoin. It's not their own expl

For this specific problem though, "settings" -> "privacy" -> "location services" allows you to turn off location tracking per app in iOS, or turn it off altogether.

I was curious too, so I tried to look it up. According to the DOT, it looks like driving mileage has trended downward slightly since a peak in 2007, FWIW. http://www.rita.dot.gov/bts/sites/rita.dot.gov.bts/fil

There is hope. I ordered a SEPA withdrawal around New Year's Day, and received the deposit a few days ago. It was a very pleasant surprise to see the funds actually show up.

Well physically speaking, sine waves ARE the only thing you can put through dell speakers, or any speakers. Dell would have to set an upper limit on the wave superposition, or set a top frequency.

German healthcare is clearly superior by any measure not thought up by a Koch-Brothers think-tank. It covers 100% of treatment, and even if it didn't, list prices for treatment are not off-the-wall absurd. I'm not arguing that the

One of the biggest problems with disability pay is the barrier it creates to joining the workforce. Losing payments when you get employed is a huge disincentive to looking for employment. That's the opposite of what UBI is trying to do
