Having used acrylic for various projects... It's a hard to use material. It loves to crack - especially around drill holes and sharp corners, even when not much external load is applied due to internal stresses.

So these aquariums have a design factor of safety of 11 ?? And still regularly fail? To me, that shows something majorly wrong in the design/build process... Clearly some failure modes are not well understood/modelled. Planes,

Britain is in a post-empire downfall, and has been for 120 years. If you want to see where it leads, see Portugal which is 50 years further ahead on that path.

I'm gonna guess that a few people like Peter taking alphacodes output and editing it and using those edits as part of some fine-tuning step would quickly resolve many of these issues.

The ratio between the tokenizer and the model is constant for both training and inference. And I believe the ratio is that big - you just use a lot of compute for training, and that's why it's so expensive.

I don't understand why you'd want a tokenizer to be fast... Surely the output of said tokenizer you're going to stick through a machine learning model that is orders of magnitude slower? So it really doesn't matter if th

I believe these toxins might be behind the recent popularity of 'gluten free' diets. Gluten free means wheat free, which means toxin free. And that makes people's guts feel better. I wonder if there is a market for 'to

Advertisers don't care if some users are banned or if the platform is 'unfair'. Advertisers care if their advert shows up to something illegal or bad for the brand.

I don't think it's opensource. I assume it cost quite some $$$ to produce this because you kinda have to cut nvidias binary drivers in half, which is going to require quite a lot of reverse engineering.

But not everything uses that. Some software simply connects a pin of the port to a motor and another to a sensor, then uses software in the computer to turn the motor off as soon as it sees the sensor be activated. Devices that do that of

I'd like to see one pilot in the cockpit and remote control ability. Then a ground based copilot can be involved in complex manuvers, emergencies, etc. But not have to be present for the dull multi-hour cruising.

Bear in mind that this will work for many bits of parallel port equipment, but won't work for everything. Some things use very precisely timed signals, as short as a few microseconds, and that simply can't be recreated by software

True. But most panels are rated and tested for icy hail to hit it on a hot sunny day with the panel surface at 70 degrees C. But obviously doing this repeatedly might not be good for it - naturally hail on a super hot day is rare.
