This crappy pic shows my workspace until a few days ago. We had a break-in this Thursday so I'm not sure what state it is in now.. http://imgur.com/8VRv2.jpg

I'm sorry, after rereading my post I think I might not have been clear. I was asking specifically about HN cookies.

Might be obvious for everybody, but in Safari, you can drop a file on the 'no file selected' text you get after you press 'attach a file'.

Looks very nice. The only problem I had is that it's not clear when you load the page that you can actually interact with it. Some people might go away confused and think this tool can't convert specific times

That's not really an answer (and, btw, not really honest -- location, isp and ip don't matter if they have your email address). Just because something can't be tracked doesn't mean it's legal.

I think this just shows that Apple is far ahead with the iPad. Two of those are just concepts, one is just a comment from a CEO and the third doesn't ship yet. This area might be more interesting in a year or 2/3, just like with the iPhone

I wonder what the legal implications of this are. Here in the NL, downloading movies/music is legal, but uploading can cause you trouble. If put.io seeds a movie torrent for you, can you get into trouble?

I think the issue really is only Flash. Adobe's CS software is still important for Apple, and Apple approved Adobe's Ideas app on the iPhone. There's a lot of friction because of Flash, but I find it hard to believe there's a total divorce.

It's 256MB, apparently. The article says 2Gb(256MB) per die, for a total of 512MB, but http://furbo.org/2010/04/03/benchmarking-in-your-lap/ tested it and it's 256MB. I'm not sure where iFixit gets the idea there would be two dies.

Apple isn't the only one suing. This is just one more lawsuit, see also http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03/04/an-explosion-of-mob...

I'm not sure this would scale to an iPad-sized surface. I also kinda like the free style GameTable allows you -- the Surface example (though very cool!) seems to take some control of the game out of you. A D&D tool could be very nice --

Where did you get that from? Both Intel and OCZ, probably the most popular makers of SSD's, use base-10 in their product advertising. HDD or SSD doesn't matter from a consumer perspective. http://download.intel.com/design/flash/nand/mainst

You're just making stuff up. There are tons of alternative 'browsers' using the webkit view on the iPhone, so that won't be a proble. You can already read .doc documents on the iPhone. Not sure about Pages on the iPad, but it might be able

Good to hear Bazaar speeds have improved. When I tried using it, it was painfully slow, taking 20-30 seconds for a simple 'bzr log'.

One issue I have with DDG is that sometimes, when it Doesnt find what I'm looking for, I try to press command-l to go to the location bar to use sone other service. It seems DDG eats up this shortcut for something else, very annoying.

By that same logic, you might as well put nothing in the center of the screen. Whatever's in there usually gets them money, you can count on that.

How would this detect whether you got a reply? Relying on the recipient to also CC the reminder service seems fragile and ugly, and having to proxy through another service also seems unwanted (you're now relying on that service to be availa
