I think they should find a better name for this project. I find it very confusing since it's not really a better Vite. At the time Void Zero was probably looking to monetize the Vite brand but now that they've been acquired by Clo

I was excited about Oxfmt until I tried it and found that it's mostly intended to be a Prettier replacement. Ugh.

Suno et al don't really have a incentive to hide the fact that their tracks are generated using AI. Quite the contrary, the only way they won't get sued to death by UMG and the other big labels is to disclose AI generated tracks

One thing is to invest R&D money with a strategy and another to force people to burn as much money as possible to see what happens.

It seems really absurd that anyone would encourage or even force employees to burn more money to see if maybe something works.

They should have done it a year or two ago when the hype was strong. Today everyone knows there's no agi coming up and it will be a very long time until they generate any profits, if ever.

Very cool idea which makes a lot of sense. Bun provides more (eg db drivers) but the DX is certainly a big part of its appeal. For reference, the main author of Nub is Colin McDonnell who created Zod and even worked at Bun at some point.

It's not about the code or the use of AI. It's about the governance of the Bun project. Nobody knows if the Rust AI rewrite was a good decision from a technical pov. We do know it was a unilateral and drastic decision taken behind

I doubt it. That SOC is still overkill for video (which I believe powered the Nintendo Switch 1). I think the big issue is really a combination of the Nvidia software and just terrible Android TV.

That's your interpretation. When someone claims that vinyl has less than half the DR of a CD then I think it's important to clarify how big of a difference it actually is. I would imagine HN would care about 16bits vs aprox 10bits
