Last time I checked, they asked for a significant minimum $ + 1 year commitment. I wish they had a "start small", self service, clear pricing option.

IMO letting crypto die by itself is the best way to prove it sucks. If any blockchain was forbidden, there would be a huge PR stress and infinite arguments about their viabilities. Just let morons fail.

I'd say using stuff like Netlify or GH Pages for static sites is worth it even if you have zero traffic. They legit are much easier to use than setting up your own VPS.

I don't use Heroku, nor Render, and I definitely think anyone using Heroku should be moving out, but... Do you have any evidence Render actually takes security seriously? Not shitting on their platform, I actually never used it, I just

Knative is such a brilliant framework for building internal / infrequently called apps. It's a core pice of our infrastructure and it has enabled non-tech employees to develop apps that cost cents per month[1]. You would be surpri

Have you tried Saxenda or similar? It was a life changer for me. Good luck, I also struggle with weight and it's clear there's something we have not figured out yet.

If you are so scared of inflation (which is fair, so am I), just buy inflation indexed bonds. As for crypto, there is no fundamental mechanism that guarantees it will appreciate more than inflation on the long run.

Solution: don't use Debian. IMO the way most Linux Distro package managers install stuff is absolutely awful (system wide, no isolation, shared libs, shared PATH...)

You don't need any of those tools. One can use virtualenvs to avoid global Python pollution, but that's it. I've used poetry, pipenv and others... Nowadays my opinion is that I want my package managers to be simple. For each

Generally for EC2 AWS is transparent about which CPU model and clock speed they are using. For other services, not so much. Like, is 1 CPU / Memory in Fargate the same as in App Runner and Lambda?
