Haven't been able to successfully log in (server issues?) but definitely a cool video. I'm guessing you didn't build the photos -> model tech from scratch in 10 weeks. What are you using for that piece?

I'd say the bigger challenge is building something that is defensible. It's not that hard to design a GPT-3 prompt that summarizes reviews or writes ad copy, so you quickly find yourself with a bunch of competition and not much to

This sounds like another tool like Carta that VCs will require their portfolio companies use, thus giving you free reign to charge whatever you want. I will resent you just like I resented Carta, but you will do great. Best of luck!

This blog post strikes me as poorly written, overly emotional, and light on reasons to care. While not Amazon-sized, Elastic is itself a rather large company. Am I supposed to be upset that you're having difficulty getting even larger

Is language use not inherently shaped by the real world? The site you tried is a tweet generator, not a question answering site. I prompted GPT-3 with "Bears and beards are different because" and got... "Bears and beards are

I know, I know. But I don't say this lightly. I've worked in NLP/G for nearly 15 years and after spending the last 6 months working with GPT-3 I feel the writing is on the wall.

I agree with the author on GPT-2. But GPT-3, which became available shortly after this was published, is quite a bit more powerful and there are many commercial applications being built on it now.

ML and NLP surveys are outdated basically the minute the author hits send nowadays. With GPT-3 all of these old school NLG companies seem quaint. Much of their functionality can be replicated in minutes with GPT-3, even by non-technical use

I'm surprised by all the comments blaming the author here. Even if their content is garbage, they made foolish business decisions, yadda yadda, Facebook's policy of banning business accounts and all associated personal accounts wi

Maybe they tapped the same developers who built the Google Ads web app, a UI so slow they have time to display tutorials while everything loads.

Lack of an app is not the problem. They haven't been able to come to terms on rev share yet. I suspect this news will break the impasse.

Don't pay attention to the negative nellies. Even these tiny "worthless" projects end up having value because they build a tool chest of skills and code snippets that make each subsequent project quicker and more sophisticate

Very much disagree just because, FAANG or not, working for a large corporation is not for everyone. That said, I would never work under a solo founder for the reasons exemplified by this outcome. I don't even like VCs and I feel like w

There are a couple of ways to do it. You can give it a prompt that shows examples of the classification and it mimics what it thinks is the correct behavior when you feed it new unclassified input. They also have a search endpoint that lets

Agreed, I worked on a small company where we offered the choice to work from home or come in. Half the company hated coming in and half hated working from home. The end result was low energy in the office and poor bonding across the team. I
