Dispute the credit card charge and you might be able to get in touch with someone.

Mmm, you may have mistaken my point. I'm not an AI-lover and I hate that these companies are doing this. It would help if I could dig up the quote right now, but the example they gave is that some of these things are like... a walking

They've been very clear that these aren't "special" books. Your gotcha isn't a gotcha. And come on. They're not revealing the titles because that would reveal which bookseller they worked with.

If you use your own domain name for email, you only have to do the slow thing once. When I switched my mail hosting from GMail to Fastmail, all my email addresses stayed the same.

Pangram isn't useful for single documents. Too many false positives. It only gives something approaching actionable results if you use it on an entire corpus.

Couldn't GitHub detect a Shai-Hulud exfil repo being created and just... block it? Given that it's a worm, the attacker wouldn't be able to adapt all that quickly.

That employee listing is still wide open: https://worldcup.tldv.io/api/entities/Player I wonder if someone has already dumped the full set of meetings by now. One correction, though: I don't think "Super

I liked that. I don't have a lot of good things to say about GitHub these days -- Microsoft has not been a kind owner -- so I found that moment of silliness encouraging.

This is probably fine for evading local cops. I'll also note that anyone plugging this into a forensics machine is going to have a bit of a dilemma: Perform write tests, or not? Because if they probe it with password:... attempts to ch

Yeah, I've had multiple GoPros die in multiple ways, and way too quickly. They're just really poor quality and aren't suited for vibration, heat, cold, etc. -- exactly the things an "action camera" should be able to

Cities in the US can pass laws. They're called local ordinances: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_ordinance#United_States

Where it helps is in finding out if it's even the image you wanted. You get a sense of it from the fast first pass, and then can hit back if it's not the thing you thought it was.

Do what people did before there were LLMs: Just post the data and some quick notes. It's fine, people appreciate the brevity. Disclosing is great, but not as good as just using your own human voice.

Man, what's going on with this site that makes every phrase "North Korea" into a link about playing golf there? Some kind of self-link-auto-enhancement plugin gone nuts?
