Not much, what's flu with you?

You might just not have any. It really varies by area, probably a mix of genes and environment. Some areas I can't find any, some areas are rich with them.

I don't think synesthesia is necessarily a good explanation. I am quite good at spotting 4-leaf clovers, but I don't have synesthesia. My eye just "catches" on them. I'm pretty sure it's actually the angle of

Wow, to hell with that. I'm not installing an airline app, even if I had a smartphone.

I don't know if this is the solution, but we desperately need one. It's to the point where "email bombing" is forcing service providers to add captchas to login and registration because those forms are being abused as

We might be missing information, such as that the person who beat up a cop also had their license suspended.

...I'm confused, is there something I'm missing in this post? I only see 4 sentences, with almost no information.

Nah, I've seen them screw in all sorts of ways that would fail in some conditions and not others. You're way too optimistic about this.

It might help that Arch has an absurdly good wiki.

Don't post AI output that people didn't ask for. It's rude.

Yeah, this is my precise experience. No matter what I say, some AI booster will show up to argue that I didn't experience what I experienced. (And if I enjoyed being gaslighted, I'd just be using the LLMs in the first place.)

I've been hearing "they'll be better in a few months/years" for a few years now.

I find it fascinating that your reaction to that situation is to double down while my reaction would be to kill it with fire.

Ah, I see what you're saying! I think in my case I'm just not that concerned by the hypothetical because my parents haven't done sequencing/genetic screening and also aren't likely to. I guess the main question is h

For people who have reasonable browsers (i.e. you can install extensions) you can already live in this world. For example: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/consent-o-mat...

The DNA itself is not "anonymous", but I would do it without giving my real name, address, etc. They could know who the DNA is related to, but not gain more information than that. Even better would be to swap identity with someone

Here's an actual article, which you can find by following the DOI: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.adp6699 -- unfortunately not open access, so it's not feasible for me to check if anything i

The Google Doc was a better and easier read than the LLM output. If you don't have the time, unpolished stuff in your own voice is just fine. (The LLM output was more or less unreadable for me, but your original was very easy to follow

That might be true within a certain band, but if enough people stop flying, there's only so much elasticity there. Eventually they stop flying as many planes. (Of course, subsidies probably throw a wrench in all of this.)

Yeah, when people say "flying has a high carbon footprint", they're not kidding . It's really quite massive. I don't fly any more.
