Fwiw, clojure is an acquired taste. It took me months to rewire my brain and get comfortable with it. Enjoy your time with TS and remember clojure if it ever doesn’t satisfy you anymore

They don’t serve one. Clojure uses only white space for distinguishing items in lists and hashmaps and after a short period of “this is weird” you embrace it and wonder why you ever needed commas at all

Yeah I think that’s your expectations. Clojure doesn’t treat the JVM as an implementation detail, but as a very important part that you’ll want to use and interact with directly. It wouldn’t make any sense for clojure to not show you the JV

Hunters specifically feed deer throughout the winter and then shoot them later on (my grandfather was very much into hunting). The whole “overpopulation” thing is a bad faith argument and doesn’t make logical sense either; there’s no way a

That’s Clojure, not the JVM. In certain configurations it can unfortunately take that long. It’s getting better though.

Frankly, this article has the opposite effect of convincing me. The author starts with a perfectly reasonable data model and munges it for some questionable space savings (that only apply in the dumbest of databases that don't do any s

Practically, mindshare, because that translates to longterm support and ability to get help if you need it. I know lots of people that use babashka but not a single one that uses closh. Of course, I see the irony in making the popularity ar

I've been programming Clojure for a while and I've dabbled in CL, and while the CL debugger is certainly nicer, I don't see a major difference in how you develop interactively. Could you explain where do you see Clojure falli

Fwiw, first-class parallelism was one of the premises of Clojure, but in practice those features aren’t used very heavily. I’m not sure why that is.
