I've been trying to estimate their sales from monitoring twitter activity. Given the very low volume (200-600 mentions daily) since launch, I believe that low sales figure.

How quickly a given tweet is getting retweeted and favorited. So - not looking at absolute values but rather the rates at which those are changing. So that was actually quite a challenge, given Twitter's API constraints and rate limit

True. This has to do more with knowing and understanding (and being able to control) your traffic and content patterns rather than simply being big. When part of your business is making recommendations to people on what they should watch

I decided there's no such thing as a good NLP library. In my other apps, I usually use several libraries at once, then make them vote. :) Works out better than Stanford NLP. I do need to add some intelligence to skim.io though.

Two observations: 1. How's simple (one could say crude) these looked back in the day - yet that didn't prevent people from signing up. 2. How quickly things age online - it only takes a few years for your UI to look ancient.
