> The tech industry is a major factor in this, where senior-level positions in non-FAANG companies can make upwards of $150k/yr in the US, and the PPP equivalent European salary is around half of that. Why does this matter so much w

This is fixed in most countries by creating brackets that stack. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_tax You'd pay let's say 15% over the first 30k, and then 30% over the remainder.

Maybe I am too European for this, but I'd be very wary if I received such emails. I'd shrug and throw it in the bin. You come across as a try hard that is more concerned with "chit chatting" than performing actual work.

Depends on where in Europe you live. The more east you go, the faster it gets. Fiber and 1 Gbps is standard and cheap here. I pay €15/month for that (TV included). 4G is everywhere. I pay €8/month for unlimited data usage and phon

I feel that this depends on the kind of app you're building. If you have a development team already familiar with React and related technology and your app is simple in nature, then you'll get there quicker with React Native. It&#

Holy crap! I read about Tesults.com on HN about a year ago and a while ago I wanted to try it out. I googled and searched for hours multiple times. I never found it back until this comment right here. Thank you!

I work in Romania as a developer, in an office with a little more than 40 people. In terms of women in the office: - 2 developers - 1 project manager - 1 QA manager - 1 HR - 1 office manager It's a little low for this city and country.
