There is some more discussion here. [1] I have no reason to doubt him...wordpress.org does support significant commercial activity, and even if it did go through, would likely require much more conflict/recusal issues. Not surprising h

Wordpress.org is not part of the 501(c)(3). They tried, but the IRS turned them down. It's Matt's personal toy (staffed by people from Automattic), as far as anyone knows.

Oracle can charge $40-$100k+ for EE including options per core (times .5)...and some workloads are very cache sensitive. So a high cache, high bandwidth, high frequency, high memory capacity 16 core CPU[1] (x2 socket) might be the best ba

wp.org is not a non-profit, despite the name. The actual non-profit [1] had expenses of $41k in 2022, which wouldn't come anywhere near paying for wordpress.org infrastructure and personnel. I guess Wordpress is going the RHEL route. Y

Cerebras runs at 1.1 GHz[1], and this was a much earlier design on 16nm so it might be a good fit by now. Their TSMC 5 nm version is scheduled for early 2025.[2] [1] https://cerebras.ai/blog/cerebras-architecture-deep-di
