How much in Federal income taxes does someone making $26,000 a year pay? Single, no child, no subsidized savings...around $1,000. 1 Child...negative several thousands dollars. That's assuming all income is being reported.

What exactly do think the Federal Budget is? Discretionary budgeting within USAID is a tiny, tiny amount. Even the items they cherry picked as being wasteful, many were from the State Department (Ambassadors has some discretionary funds to

Gemini 2.5 Pro is very competitive with o1/o1-pro in reasoning and has a larger maximum context. It also just rolled out Deep Research which is also very competitive (perhaps even better) than Open AI's.

Supercomputers are measured based on 64 bit floating point operations. Here they (inaptly) compared it to their 8 bit floating point operations (which are only useful for AI workloads).

DSC has Rate Control, so the very minimal compression needed to go from from 180 Hz to 240 Hz will be negligible except in artificial scenarios like random noise. DSC is intended to be visually lossless up to 3x compression levels.

Those old cards were way under 50 Watts. Even a "low-end" card now like an Intel B580 (list price $250, inflation adjusted equivalent to about $125 in the late 90s.) is 225 W. Cooling and power circuitry are much more critical now
