I've heard quite a few times now that some of the reasons these automations aren't completely automatic is to avoid them being abused by people with bad intentions. Say for example someone setting one up on someone else's pho

You should be able to pull down on any page of the home screen to bring up the app search screen, rather than having to swipe all the way to the left. You can now also long press the wifi icon (twice) from the control centre in iOS 13 to qu

Looking at the source code for at least the first example [0] it looks like a simple $('form').submit() would work just as well. It's all the library is doing internally (after some HTML5 form validation checks) I suspect mos

I believe you can still import shortcuts from files in iOS 13, you just need to “Allow untrusted shortcuts” in the Settings app first.

It's not a great solution, but there are drop in libraries that shim the old mysql_* functions to their mysqli_* equivalents. https://github.com/dshafik/php7-mysql-shim It won't be 100% perfect and it's

After that ISP award thing came out it finally convinced me to look into DoH and give it a go. So I ended up setting up a Pi Hole this weekend running a local DoH-to-DNS proxy and then changing the DNS settings on my router to point to the

This iCloud app doesn't look new, unless I'm missing something, it just appears to be available in the Microsoft Store now?

I think a more accurate title might be "Apple Pay announces support for NFC tags", as NFC in general has been supported since the iPhone 7, but read-only.

I'd highly recommend giving Rimworld a go. It's like a simplified version of Dwarf Fortress but with a space theme. The controls are much more friendly and there's a huge number of mods that can completely change the way you

Just had a quick read, looks like it's available since Firefox v63, https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Accessibility... It should work though once you click on that button, weird that it does

Not seen anyone mention it yet, but the Accessibility feature in Firefox (might only be available in Nightly/developer edition, not sure) built into the developer tools are pretty good. You need to go into the dev tools settings to ena

I agree that better/modern PWA support was added only recently, but the actual "Add to Home Screen" option has been around since 1.1.3. I'll admit it's been little more than a fancy way to add a bookmark to your hom

Hadn't noticed this redesign, looks like they've done a really good job. I wonder if it's just been inspired by GOV.UK or if the same group of people (or just some of them) have been involved. Either way seems like they'
