I'm left handed but I've always used right handed scissors in my right hand. I can actually cut with either, but cutting right handed has always been more natural for me. Using the left handed scissors in my left hand requires mor

Definitely the same kind of buckling. Here's an example from a couple of years ago in the news https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cumbria-44658254 Check Google images for some more extreme examples.

I wish I could take credit, but back while I was waiting for my preorder I really wanted to try out the new UI and found the instructions originally here on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/

A little bit off topic, but in case anyone wants to try out the new Steam Deck UI on their desktop you can do it without installing Steam OS, just follow these steps: 1) Quit Steam 2) Find the "package" directory inside of the mai

This is a super common phishing attack on Steam, people send you links that eventually lead to a "Sign in with Steam" button, which opens up one of these fake popups with a perfectly styled login page. Almost got me the first time

I think quite a lot of the PHP routers are based on regexes, for better or for worse. One of the most famous is FastRoute by nikic that (from memory) merges all your routes into one big regex and then tells you which route to dispatch based

Yeah they've always updated Safari on the previous version of macOS, but that's pretty far from being evergreen, and the average user isn't going to be using the technology preview. Take Chrome for example, where there's

I think Safari is now the only big non-evergreen browser remaining out there, and I think it's really holding it back. On both security fixes and features. I hope some point in the future Apple untie Safari from macOS and iOS so they c

This is a neat trick, but I'm more interested in the little remark about how Svelte uses the $: label https://svelte.dev/docs#3_$_marks_a_statement_as_reactive Is Svelte doing something clever with these labels at runt

I think up until recently, homebrew was also recommending incorrect instructions for fish shell users in a similar sounding way. The instructions basically said add "fish_add_path /usr/local/bin" to your config.fish

I've noticed sometimes that when Cloudflare optimises images and serves up their own WebP versions of your existing images, if you go to save it you get the original jpg/png back. Presumably the HTTP request that gets sent when yo

I don't mind the new design, except for the 2-line "Playing" message on tabs playing audio. It just seems really obnoxious. I know in compact mode it's similar to how it was previously, but knowing that's now hidden

I suspect they mean the letter prefixes: _n_ExternalPort + _n_InternalPort for number, _s_Protocol for string and _b_Enable for boolean. It's probably just a convention they use in the source code that's made its way into the JSON

As weird as it is, I think as long as they provide an entire physical Mac you’re free to run as many macOS virtual hosts on it yourself as you want to. At least that’s my understanding of the EULA explained in the MacStadium blog post.

Worth pointing out that while they're probably safe (and do in fact use the same container APIs to separate out the domains), these are all from third-party developers. Where as the Facebook container is from Mozilla directly.

The F-STOP included in this leak, from my understanding, isn't Valve's prototype. It's just in-development fan-made game to try and replicate Valve's unreleased prototype.
