Not really, the same with any organization - if the people who made the decisions lose face, they will double down before sunk costs. The comparison in this case might have the prosecutor go after some lesser charge just to stick anything

GH is a special case. They're darlings of the tech community, and they throw a ton of events. Even if they were crappy to work for they would probably have an easy time hiring. THAT SAID, "finishing the internal CRM system" is a problem t

1) It's a slide deck for a talk. What were you expecting, a detailed tutorial? I also don't think you got the most important bit: focus on employees. 2) Scaling is also… really custom. I'm extremely unlikely to have to find a way to shard g

Well. Obviously. The syntax is much, much more complicated. But if you were to adopt a ruby syntax subset, enough of the semantics are similar enough to not pose a significant problem. How easy is lisp to implement in a language without fir

The icky feeling comes from the hypothetical transitivity of such an agreement. It seems like a great way to bootstrap a pseudo-feudal obligation system. What if everything you made with the OS was similarly hindered? Launch an auto update

There is an actually valid concern that instead of guaranteeing credit default swaps in a handful of institutions, you could've spent the same amount of money propping up some of these underwater mortgages. Same outcome - a bunch of public

Actually, I think it's a really optimistic saying. Think of it more as, "Until we rule out incompetence, we shouldn't assume malice – and incompetence is far more common than malice".

Say, $200/hr times 6 hrs a day times a month. Not impossible but not easy, exactly. If you take a year to plan it out I think you could set that aside, working in tech, but it's obviously not for everyone.
