The design of this site is really impressive. If you're working on a web product you should be taking notes. Probably the #1 problem for a brand new site offering financial advice is to establish credibility. Lots of past entrants did a lou

The funny thing is, they probably should have priced lower. If you look at their rank history on Mac and iOS, they saw big grossing rank bumps the few times they dropped the price. Maybe that's just a short-term effect (yay, sale!), but bas

1) Maybe I am just slow, but it would probably take me more than 12 weeks to create an app like this. Well designed mobile stuff can be deceptively time consuming. 2) http://mint.com

Here's a chart of their Canada rankings: http://www.appannie.com/app/ios/budget-with-back-in-black/ra... Looks like they only do well in English-speaking markets, so they'll mostly live and die by their US performance. So it's more accura

The fascinating thing about Microsoft today is they find themselves in such a strategically desperate position that they are beginning to change that attitude.

I don't understand the hate in the comments. Two things: 1) The simplest applications are still hard to polish this much. In fact, simple things can often hide some of the hardest design choices. 2) Three years ago, Twitter apps were the UI

I'm pretty sure the answer to your question is yes. Typically, if you're in a position where you'll often have material non-public info you need to create a trading plan in advance, or otherwise remove your ability to trade the company base

It's often been necessary -- most recently, iPad apps needed to be built against a new version of the SDK to correctly use 2x graphics on the new iPad's high-res screen.
