Requiring an ID is a barrier to voting. Maybe not a particularly burdensome one, but it's still a burden that can prevent people from participating in elections. Better to err on the side of expanding access to the democratic process,

Trade wars are always bad and don't need to be argued against. They are a tax hike, they are unpredictable, they disrupt ongoing business and deter future business, and they sour political relations. Until some tangible benefits come f

Not collecting a tax does not increase debt. Outlays increase debt. If it did, then not taxing Apple 100% of its profits would be "costing" us all a fortune.

In many jurisdictions, the police will do little or nothing until a crime is committed. It's possible to experience a life-altering amount of harassment before the police will intervene in any meaningful way.

Investing is a luxury many Americans cannot afford, particularly at an early age. You could teach them the "value of money" all day long, but if they don't have money to save it won't do them any good.

It's the same with sports, music, art, writing and lots of other hobbies-that-can-be-careers. Most people won't ever make a living, but plenty of people want to give it a shot. If it works, awesome, you get to play games or make a

I'm sorry, but are people actually more concerned with the sound of the keyboard than the arrow keys? It took me a week to get used to the sound. Six months in and I still can't reliably hit the arrow keys. It's as if they&#x

You're abusing the word "fake". Is coconut oil fake olive oil? Just two different substances serving similar purposes, much in the way mushrooms are sometimes used in dishes the way meat might be used. You could call that &qu

Many Americans avoid eating things made out of plants. For example, tofu or veggie burgers. Like I said, this is a cultural phenomenon, similar to but less severe than the cultural proclivity to avoid eating insects. Though many Americans d

"there's no cultural barrier to overcome" There is indeed a cultural barrier in the United States when it comes to vegetarian diets. Many Americans avoid "fake meat" due to their cultural beliefs.
