If you have a Google TV try SmartTube. It's an independently developed app with a custom interface, so that might put some people off. For just watching videos without obnoxious ads its great though.

Indeed, and the Revanced apk customisation on Android, and SmartTube on Google TV. I've not seen an ad from Youtube for probably 10+ years on my devices (since whenever Vanced made the apk customisations popular).
