Yes. The fact that I still cannot listen to Spotify directly from my Apple Watch is so frustrating. I don't want to give in and switch to Apple Music, but it gets more tempting every day.

I would say that Rails has fully embraced SPAs as an option. With Webpacker you can have React or Vue installed by default. That being said, at one point we decided to start using React to handle the front end of our Rails app and it has be

I'm wondering if team size is what makes slack such a pain for many posters. Slack is great for my 8 person remote company. I keep notifications off for channels that aren't directly related to my development responsibilities, but

Definitely a consideration. For me, my side project has basically replaced my TV time at night and it's been a significant life improvement. Sometimes I'll sit in the living room with my family and work while they watch TV, which

We turned to React as the UI solution in our Rails app almost 2 years ago. It was the hot thing and I fell in love with the concept of components. While it did work well, I regret the decision. It convoluted our codebase and it seemed like

This feels overwelming. While I realize Rails isn't the cool thing in the web space anymore, I'm still convinced the best way to get someone into web development is to sit them down with Michael Hartl's Ruby on Rails tutorial

How long ago? My group of friends switched to Signal a few weeks back and there have been no issues with push notifications for me on iOS. It might be worth another look if it's been a while.

Firefox has really been appealing to me lately. Unfortunately, on my MacBook Pro, Safari is more energy efficient and it's not even close. If Firefox could close the gap there a bit I would make the switch.

Why do you think it didn't work? I've had the same experience, but with trying to move friends from telegram to signal. For me, I think it is because telegram is such a better experience from a UI standpoint. Signal is getting bet

Opposite for me. I don't know many people over 18 who don't use Snapchat. Even parents of most my peers(late 20s - mid 30s) use it. It has largely replaced iMessage or SMS for exchanging dumb pictures of day-to-day things (e.g. Yo

This is anecdotal, but I manage my golf league scoring with a relatively complex multi-sheet spreadsheet. In 2005 I couldn't even open it in docs. In 2010 I could open it, but many formulas didn't work. In 2013 most things worked,

In terms of watch prices it is far from highly priced. I don't know anyone that would considering it "rich people" jewelry. I've had my Apple Watch for several weeks now and its usefulness has made it worth every penny.
