To be honest, I don't know anything at all about monetary policy. I've said before that valuations are high right now, but I don't know what if any effect monetary policy has had on them.

It already affects us a bit, because some of the companies we fund have raised money through these services. But I have no idea what long term effect it might have.

The best ones are actually very careful not to do anything fishy. They don't need to, and in any case it would not be worth the risk to their brand.

Counterexample: playing with your kids. I think hard and worth doing are pretty loosely coupled. There are certainly lots of things that are hard and yet not really worth doing. And there are a good number that are worth doing and yet eas

It would be overreaching of us to do something like that. We're not the VCs' adversaries. We need to cooperate with them, because they have expertise in later-stage problems that the startups need.

Interestingly enough, in this case that would have worked. If you only counted the votes of the oldest accounts, the comment in question would have had negative points.

Yeah, I know. The underlying problem is the same. I've spent a good deal of time thinking about how to fix it. I wonder if it would work to normalize votes based on how far down the page a comment is. God would that complicate the

It's mortifying that this mixture of insult and irrelevance has so many upvotes. I know everyone's been worried about the amount of politics on the frontpage lately, but I'm much more worried about this comment. Political s
