We can ignore 100/400 year problem, for now, because our sample population (working age) were born before 2000. Since you're looking for a specific birthday which occurs (assuming random distribution of birthdays), 1/1461 of the time. I thi

Since human lifetimes are < 100 years, the 400 year problem doesn't apply to our population (yet). I'm going to presume you're unspecified company is not hiring children 12 and under. What do you think about my solution here, though?

I get that it's not really different than the rest of northern California. I suspect that it might be like, at their core, the Beatles were just a band. That's why I want to get out there myself. So start to separate the hype from the re

The first domains I got were from register.com at over $30/year. I assumed I was getting great service or something. When I finally had an issue, I sat on hold for over an hour and then got disconnected. I decided to switch to godaddy, t

Hasn't this always been the case... the marketing influence, I mean? I've gone to the Lego store in my town. You can still assemble a nice set outside of the movie tie-in stuff. Now, whether you can get you kids to think that's cooler or

I've come to the realization that you're right, jen_h and mjs00. I'll likely be doing the cashless transaction (if offered). Basically, I didn't play this one as well as I could have and am trying to find a way to recoup now. I think it'

I am having to get ramped up on this right now as my company is filing. I'm not 100% positive, but, I believe if you exercise and sell in a single transaction, you're going to get hit with ~40% short term capital gains tax. Holding the ex

My company has great spam filters. Our problem is the chatter, reply-to-all, and +{some list with 300 people} behaviors. Two months ago, I implemented the nuclear rule on my inbox. - if my email is not in to or cc - if the mail isn't sent

I don't want to "guess" that. I'd like it really spelled out. I tried "login" and got a 500 from a debian server. I wouldn't send my credentials through some random server just because it was on HN. --edit: I was wrong, it wasn't a 500 e
