It feels so weird. Earlier F# seemed to me a really interesting choice, but after knowing about Agda/Idris I don't feel the same anymore.

Ah I have just realized it might be "just a classic typed language IDE" experience and Dependent Types seems just way above. Am I missing something?

Yes it is true, but you might accidentally skip cases which a proof assistant will tell you about. There is much information you can specify than later extract from the already given piece of code eg. with dependent types.

Yes, this is a good example of a "smart IDE", however I am looking for something more holistic.

Awesome story, thanks! Keep it up! Is there any slack channel/group you are part of? What did you find?

Yes sure! I did not mean the tool should exist independently, I meant some kind of extra IDE "layer" beside a "regular"/widespread (C,Java,C#) compiler/language. But ofc there is no such thing like "regula

That is really cool as a high-schooler! How did study those things? Did you have any support? I have multiple programmers in my family but no one is aware of things, lol.

Ah, I did not know that! The Purescript integration seems definitely interesting! Do you use these tools for work?

Yes this is one main feature what I am looking for. I have just replied to another comment where I mention holes but ask a more concrete question about focusing different parts of the system when you have multiple holes. Can you please exam

By tool I mean something more than a language. Something like a proof assistant, but more visual: it would show the different "views" (parts) of the already provided code, let the user to focus on just arbitrary parts, but at any

Thanks, dependent typed languages seem something to consider. Coq, Agda and Idris seem the most useful to me.

Happened to me as well. But you have to realize there are so many things are going on you might not be aware of eg. relations, background, even luck! Instead, try to exploit your recognition of their success and ask/learn about their s

Yes, thanks for mentioning. It has been on my radar as well, but as I have seen its less universal and more focused on the verification of concurrent processes - which is not the whole picture. But I will give a shot if there is nothing els

I thought myself the same. However if players do expose each others weaknesses fast enough it could lead to a chip gain which might be hard to overcome right? Just in theory ofc. :)

Happened the same to me. I felt really overwhelmed. The only solution I have is doing less. Furthermore I pick things which do require no/low maintainence/time/energy. Now I feel much more satisfied. The real question to me i

OOP for GUI is getting old fashioned I think. I am thinking about the class-based imperative frameworks in Java/C#. Just look at the functional components and hooks in react. They have just abandoned the class based syntax.

OOP is too vague, let's talk about related features which are clear. (To me the 2 most important are inheritance and mutability, I won't mention that "protected" magic at all.) Inheritance has too easy syntax to avoid &q

The only thing prevents me using prolog for proper tasks is not getting its IO: reading/writing files: csv, json. Any cool (video) tuts on it? I searched a lot but did not find anything "easy".

Let me add visual diffing constraint to the discussion, otherwise I need the same as OP. percy.io is a cool visual diffing tool I used and liked a lot. Last time when I used it it supported only chrome/firefox, but both mobile and desk

Yes same here. I easily get annoyed because it really is a rabbit hole. Why do I want anything? Because I want to be happy and successful, lol. Is it broad enough now?
