You think you are going to get better terms as a founder by being pickier about which angels you let in? You do understand that most angels invest in a company because their friend did. If you keep rejecting angels you aren’t going to get

There is a small bit of memory that all programs on your computer share that isn’t protected in any way. If two misbehaving programs on your computer wanted to communicate in a really really secret way, they could use it. If you don’t have

I’m very passionate about pedestrian deaths in cities (SF specifically), but based on all the incidents I can remember I don’t think pickup trucks are causing a disproportionate number. Pedestrian deaths are mostly caused by normal cars go

All the people who have gone to jail for tax evasion are not having good success with the argument that taxes are unconstitutional.

I used to get bothered by this as well, but you’ve got to get over it. Most of the time the thousands of people don’t want to be in the limelight and it is better for the product/company to have a good and smart leader out there toutin

Remember folks: If the price goes up, that’s good. If it goes down then you can buy more at a discount, which is also good. It’s a great system where nothing can go wrong.

Why can’t employee compensation also come from diluting Wall Street? Why do they vast majority of those benefits go to top executives?

Who do you think are paying for your bad health related decisions now? Do you pay for 100% of your current costs out of pocket and will do so for your whole life?

The comments are not bemoaning the guy, they are bemoaning the article that implies the way to build wealth is with good habits. The guy didn’t write the article, he lived a long life and donated a lot of money to charity after his death.

Well one pretty big side effect of the disease is death, which is very long term and we know the vaccines prevent way above 10x. So that should probably count for more.

I have thought about this with Bitcoin: if the protocol and potential capabilities are so interesting, why is 99% of the conversation related to Bitcoin about the current price. It does make me believe that greed is the predominant driver

Only founders and executives get to be greedy! Employees need to stay in there place. That's the rules apparently.

You still need to wear a mask, but once vaccination rates are high enough the pandemic will roughly end and people as a whole can stop wearing them. Also remember that by vaccinating the highest risk patients first we can make big impacts i

I do not think mutations are the main problem, just the fading of immune system memory. But it does seem very likely the vaccine will not be a one time shot and you’re good forever.

And the double penalty is that if your resume showed 2 years at a large, prestigious company, it will always count more than 2 years where you did a Herculean job at a small startup. But everybody should choose the path they want.

Please link me to a single RCT that shows HCQ as having a significant benefit. I also apologize if you felt I was maligning you, I’m not. However I am maligning the belief that a drug works when it’s been proven time and again to show it

You came up with those parameters conveniently after the study was published. The people who created and executed these studies wanted to save lives. They created a method they thought would be most likely to work, and time and time again

Counting the percentage of “positive” studies, regardless of size, methodology or definition of “positive” to determine the efficacy of a treatment might be the most dubious thing posted in this thread.

There are studies with azithromycin that show no benefit. As far as I’m aware no published RCTs with HCQ + zinc. But there was further research showing HCQ mechanism doesn’t actually do anything so HCQ studies lost steam because they were

Multiple RCTs have been done where HCQ was given as a post exposure prophylaxis. Didn’t do anything significant in terms of reducing infection. It’s not just about doses or timing. It doesn’t work.

What about the countries that did have a lot of excess deaths in the 25-44 and 45-64 age ranges? Like the US for example? You are just picking and choosing random data points to make very broad statements.
