I use BitWarden for 2FA via their paid plan (£10 per year). My BitWarden account is secured by Yubikey, of which I have two.

I never understood that comparison either. I think the thing authors are usually trying to get at is that you can't see the exit from the entrance.

I have no real problem with remapping, I do it on my ThinkPad for when I'm not at my desk. Really it boils down to the fact that I dislike the capslock key taking up valuable real estate. From my perspective has no real use, I never ty

I use a HHKB mainly because it has a correctly positioned control key. I wish other companies would make them this way too - caps lock just isn't useful.

You're best starting with Ubuntu. It has the biggest userbase which makes googling for answers easier. It'll handle casual web dev without breaking a sweat.

Ah, perhaps it's because I installed Slack via Flatpak instead of RPM. Will give that a go.

It's worked flawlessly for me on F35. The one thing I've had to amend is that I need to pass an extra flag to Slack to allow me to share my screen. I think that's a Slack thing more than Pipewire though.

I use a Keybase encrypted git repo called secrets, it contains my ssh keys, config, pgpass and a few other files. I use stow to install them on a computer when I'm setting one up. Haven't run into any problems with this approach,

The only thing I know about Bryan Cantrill is that 'have you ever kissed a girl?' post he made to a Linux dev in the late 90s. Funnily enough another hero, Miguel de Icaza, popped up in that thread too.

In one team I work on the designer uses XD. Receiving designs feels like jumping back to the early 00s when I'd often work from .psd files. The other teams go from a very rough sketch (often in Excalidraw) to a HTML prototype. Everythi

I've put countless hours into OpenTTD over the years but once you learn how to maximise profits (move your cargo over a longer distance than necessary) you can basically print money. Simutrans appears to work a bit different on that fr

Mine too. Everything just worked perfectly with Fedora out of the box. I got the 4k one which in retrospect I'd switch for the 1440p (for battery life), but either way it's a pleasure to use.

If you use virt-manager (or Gnome Boxes) it doesn't really take any figuring out. You just need the relevant install media and follow the prompts. https://virt-manager.org/

As a user, Notify is my favourite service ever. It's just so well designed, you can get up and running in about two minutes, and you can even use it to send yourself official looking letters in the post. What's not to love?

Just taken it for a spin, really intuitive and worked beautifully! I love that it has 'rough' shapes built in, I'm already a huge Excalidraw user and fan and having a native alternative is exciting.
