I'd call it TL;MWTRITAIM "Too Long; Might Want To Read If This Abstract Interests Me". So I dislike the "Didn't Read" part only. It implies the reader can't be bothered to consume the whole piece.

Maybe Google indeed should make these companies stand in the corner for a while, but wouldn't that conflict with its interests? It's a quick way to make enemies with lots of money to spend in court.

I love optimizing front-end including HTML outputs, even prematurely so. My sites are low-traffic and lightweight anyway, but for me this is a form of zen.

Looks really modern. A really impressive improvement over what python.org currently has. I'm no usability expert, but links look like links and buttons look like they can actually be pressed, a small detail that gets overlooked these days.

I sense a little sarcasm in your otherwise short and great comment, but let me tell you, rounded borders can be abused and combined with more intensive border colors, they can be downright frustrating to look at. I personally found that a

I have several low-traffic sites already on a cheap FreeBSD VPS with 128Mb RAM and looked for alternatives that are more mainstream. Paying for Windows-like licenses puts EC2 out of the question, though.

How was your experience with MySQL on FreeBSD different than other systems? Were you installing from binaries or ports?

From the FreeBSD product page[1]: Please note that for technical reasons this AMI only runs on high-performance (cluster & high-I/O) instances. Looking at Mr. Percival's other resources, other contributed AMIs don't ru

Perhaps dynamic loading is useful to speed up tinkering with development and staging, but for production I'll take a system with the least moving parts any day.

Before sending my emails to co-workers and clients I check the first word of each paragraph. The mistake I tend to make is to start each sentence with "I" (not a native speaker). Here, we have "I, We, I, Basically, I, As and Hey", and in th

Not so long ago IIRC Twitter closed the gates before orthogonal consumers (i.e. they were not competitors either). I wouldn't be surprised much if Instagram/Facebook used similar tactics.

I'm sure that comment means that developers do not put much effort into optimizing their Windows apps, not that they make them resource-intensive on purpose . No need to twist his words around.
