The 2019 Switch has better battery life. The OLED model has the OLED screen, more internal storage, Ethernet port in the dock, and a better kickstand. That's it — they are all equally powerful.

N64 limitations came in cartridge size — 64MB vs 600+MB for CDs. Voice acting and cutscenes were largely nonexistent.

My company employs contractors from South America and they are great. I am South American myself (moved to the US when very young) so it's nice having people of my background and language around.

Aside from unionizing, not much. Doesn't help that everyone that isn't working in tech thinks we're overpaid anyway.

Sorry, it was not for rent. It was for bills and grocery costs. Internet, electricity, gas, and my grocery store bills. However, $400 a week for a month would be almost 3x the costs of the above, so some of that would go to rent.

Eh, good advice but I have seen "essential" people or teams get laid off, even at the detriment of the company. Management and C-suite don't care - they face no consequences. I echo the other comment saying just save up as mu

In NYC — I was laid off and while I found a new job after a month and a half, and had savings, I still applied for unemployment. I got $400 a week for around three weeks. Not bad. Covered bills and groceries.

Zune HD hardware might've been solid, but the UI/software was slow and limited. I remember it taking ~5 seconds to load the calculator app. Not to mention nobody wanted a device like that without a robust App Store. I get people l

I think a lot of people don't post on who wants to be hired and instead just browse who's hiring.

All the interviews I got after I was laid off were through recruiters. I did not apply anywhere directly. I found them very helpful. However, you are not the first person to tell me this. It seems recruiters work very well for one kind of a

I got laid off late January and was able to find a job within a month. I've got a senior title and 6.5 years of experience. Like most US tech workers, I was getting paid comfortably, but nowhere near the level of FAANG/fintech

I got laid off in late January and had a job within a month as well as three final interviews scheduled at the time. For now finding employment seems OK?

The therapy/mental health startup space seems like a mess. Tons of companies in the space popped up in the past five years. Don't expect any to be around in five.

Yeah nowadays outside of my Clever Dripper (probably the simplest "enthusiast" coffee maker), it's Cafe Bustelo in a Moka Pot, McDonald's, or even NYC street cart coffee.

If you really don't want to pay $15/mo, sign up using a VPN in a developing country. They don't check or care. You will need a fake address as well.

There's some truth. My friend's parents don't live in desirable areas (to white collar workers) and in older housing. It is not rundown or anything, but it is an insular immigrant community. There's a reason almost none

Cash businesses and a lot of cheating on taxes/income reports. I have some NYC-native friends whose parents make less than $20k a year on paper but own homes and generally live comfortably. This is common in their immigrant community.
