   Burnout is partially a 'new' thing because we have the luxury of actually feeling it. I imagine in older times people definitely were burnt out, but they didn't have the privilege of walking off that job, leaving during lunch

   I mean... are we surprised? How long should we allow corporations to sacrifice the health of the many for their profits? OTOH, if the solution were easy presumably someone would have figured it out by now.
