Seeing a fair number of comments about “Chinese cars aren’t just junk now”. Which is…not a shock? Japanese cars used to be jokes. And certainly, within my living memory, South Korean cars were regarded as abysmal little shitboxes—hence Kia’

It’s another thing to implement something that is, in fact, trivial to make, because there are lots and lots of calendar-to-Slack integrations that update your status to show you’re in a meeting. https://slack.com/app-pages&

Still no adjustment layers, still no layer styles. It’s so easy to just critique away…but really? Really? Those are just absolutely essential image editing software features. What have they been prioritizing ahead of that?

Oh, sure, to be fair, I only just started with Brex. And I am comparing their website to consumer-facing Chase—was just superficially impressed how much nicer Brex’s UI looks, and also feels more performant.

Wow, no. I suppose it would be fine if you had a Slack integration that was a front-end to a proper piece of accounting software. But a completely ad-hoc system where accounting and auditors have to grep a giant chat log for an emoji is goi

I think the end of support for 32-bit applications in 2019 helped, slightly, with the run-up. Assuming you weren’t already shipping 64-bit applications…which would be weird…updating the application probably required getting everything into

Is that any faster than modern versions of Photoshop today? I think you all may be missing the invisible sarcasm tag here. I am reading this more as a jab at Photoshop for not “feeling” faster on a contemporary multicore GPU-enhanced mach

If Meta disappeared tomorrow, would anyone care or would they just move on to the next fad? I do think people would care about WhatsApp. Of course, someone with deep pockets would snap that up. Google comes to mind—what’s one more messagi

There is a lot of CSS now…but so many of the recent additions have been useful. Really useful. Like, solves real-world problems, easy to understand, on their way to being very well-supported. For example… …Container Queries. ( https:/

Let me second that. Besides perhaps the Canon 50mm f/1.8, 50mm lens are big now. Like a grapefruit on the front of your camera, to the extent it kinda obviates the size reduction in mirrorless bodies—slimmer body, and a giant lens. T
