I imagine so. At the risk of angering Leica fans: they’re shipping not exactly state of the art technology at very high prices, with a lot of the R&D actually being done by Panasonic. (Or, in the case of their Lux compact cameras, they

I fear for Nikon, even though I suspect they have lifelines, given Bank of Japan’s quantitative easing. They’re the least diversified of the big camera companies. Sony has…a lot, from semiconductors to financial instruments. Canon has high-

It’s not so much that a secret that MindGeek is the holding company behind all this, it’s more that MindGeek itself is a cipher. From the article… “No entity exemplifies this more than MindGeek, which with very little scrutiny or accountabi

I doubt there's benchmarks from ye olde days, but are you sure? I thought the first PPC machines managed to outrun 68040 machines, even in emulation. I fully admit my recollection could be wrong there. But regardless, that entire pre-G

Which is still pretty much a Bayer sensor, just with a different filter layout. You still have to demosaic to get a usable file. And a well-tuned RAW convertor to do so.

I’ve been an amateur photographer for over 10 years now, and I’ve never seen such an easy-to-understand but still mathematically in-depth explanation of depth of field until now. Bravo. This is excellent.

I am a total apologist for the price of the AirPods and AirPods Pro. I have tried a lot of wireless earbuds. Jabra, Samsung, Jaybirds, Anker…and none of them have the combination of bullet-proof pairing, keeping a connection, audio quality†

I’m wondering if it's more to do with diesel passenger vehicles. You have to work really hard to even find a diesel passenger car in the States. Whereas, at least for right now, they’re ubiquitous in the EU. (I mean an every day consu

So, does Cadillac’s pivot to electric (boy they have had quite a few pivots over the past 20 years…) have much to do at all with North America, or is it for China, which is their largest market for Cadillac?
