I almost switched a few months ago but didn't because Chrome just felt smoother, but I'm sorry, this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. Firefox supports every extension I care about. I'm a convert.

Personally, my team uses S3 to store state paired with DynamoDB to manage state locks. Translation, when someone applies a layer a remote lock is created for the duration of their interaction. It’s a fantastic system. I imagine using git to

I don’t condone the attitudes of people like your uncle or the hyper-sensationalized news that feeds them, but I’m equally discouraged by your response. Why shouldn’t we be skeptical of new technologies and their impact on our environment o

As others have said, no exporting is involved. You write roughly-json-esque code which you then apply to a cloud provider. The state of the infrastructure is stored, ideally, in the cloud. You apply your code during which terraform identifi

Douchecanoe. You nailed it. Nothing like a pointless rant that tries to pin your extremely personal experience on the masses. Thanks WP.

This sounds almost like a trick question. The answer is in the definition of unmaintained. When bug reports and merge requests aren’t being addressed, it’s time to pick a different library. I think the shift towards using more and smaller l

We iterate or try new things in retro often, but recently my team has been sticking with a RealtimeBoard (or sticky notes, if in person,) where each person fills out a success/praise, a frustration, and an idea or improvement. This met

Waze is a subsidiary of Google. I say this because the typical driving force for seeking an alternative to a Google service is the fact that it's owned by Google.

That’s ridiculous. Pairing 100% would seriously hamper productivity. You need time to withdraw into your mind and think through solutions. This is why code reviews were invented.

Great info, thank you! Glad to see there's a sub for this too. I'm about to try the same setup. If it performs well enough, I might just do away with owning a gaming desktop entirely. Have you tried GSync with your setup?

The MacBook Air has been woefully insufficient for years now. How about trying the 13" MBP and forego the touchbar? Maybe try the 2017 MacBook? The MacBook is very much better than the air in every single conceivable way.

This is a terrible idea, in my opinion. The answer should be to hire private security and foster strong relationships with the local police. You don't get to create your own police force.

Of course. I believe just about any technically capable person uses bookmarks. I've never met a programmer who didn't and such is the primary audience of this site.
