Then try 1 hour every day for 3 months, or 1 hour every 2 days for 6 months, or whatever you can fit into your schedule. Do you really have no time at all after your kid(s) go to sleep? I prepared and interviewed with a 1 year old at home,

Your experience is incredibly close to my own. I'd love to know if you also feel the same about a few other issues: - I used to have a massive impostor syndrome due to not having a CS degree. Joining FAANG alleviated perhaps 80% of it.

I can't speak for everyone at Netflix, and as you mention it may depend on the team, but in my team I don't think anyone cares. Why should it matter how many hours someone works a week, as long as they do a good job overall?

Realize that the interviewer wants you to succeed! For an interviewer, a candidate that does great and gets hired is a much better outcome than another hour wasted on a rejection. (I'm sure they are some toxic interviewers and dysfunct

Zurich (which is mentioned in the article) sees ~1,500 hours of sunshine a year [1]. That's absolutely horrendous and not "lots of sun" by any measure. I grew up in a place in France that gets slightly more sun than Zurich. I

I think the initial level is mostly a function of experience. Then depending on your interview results it can go up or down. In my case I interviewed at level 5, and did well enough to be invited to come back for another round at 6. I was s
