Google is not getting any data when you connect to a GCP VM through TLS. Or did I miss another huge PRISM-level scandal? Same for Azure and AWS. But if you block those no wonder a huge part of the internet is gone.

The AMD offerings are much closer to M1 although they're not yet on TSMC 5nm so they don't quite match it. It's a historic event. Intel was #1 in laptops for an eternity. Even when the Pentium 4 was being outclassed by AMD In

Once you limit to EV the choices are pretty limited though. Toro and Deere have decent options and all the others at most have a retrofitted electric motor to a transmission designed for gas/diesel. Hopefully the ramp up of LFP battery

Toro and John Deere have been selling electric versions of their UTVs for decades now. They work great too. Plenty of farms use them and there's plenty to like in the EV models even with just lead-acid batteries.

We have a Toro Workman electric cart on our small farm. It's extremely useful even while being quite basic and powered by lead-acid batteries. We bought it used a while ago but a new one would cost 15k€. The new ones are a little nicer

If what you value is vertical space/resolution why not run a 4K monitor vertically? You can either use the full resolution or crop at whatever vertical space you prefer.

The Lenovo websites are really hard to navigate and I think they also use them to steer people into specific configurations they've probably batch produced. I just spec based on the PDFs and then ask a distributor for a quote. It sucks

The T14s has a 2880x1800, OLED, 500nit, wide color gamut, 90hz, screen option. It's probably the best screen you can get on a laptop right now: https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/ThinkPad/Think

It doesn't seem like a great option compared to a normal USB-C or A ethernet dongle because of that. Those are slim enough that they're basically a continuation of the ethernet cable and as a benefit also unplug when yanked. This

Yep, same here. And with increasing urgency as Thinkpad quality control seems to have fallen off a cliff. Framework seems uniquely positioned to fix this though. Someone just needs to do a compatible top cover that takes Thinkpad keyboards.

The effective resolution of 4K is 2x in both directions because to match the size you just set the 27" screen a bit farther away so it fills the same field of view. The jump in resolution from going 4K will be very noticeable and a 27&

Setting the 8K screen farther away so it fills the same field of view will make it strictly better than the smaller 5K if you can manage it. Same view, more angular resolution and your eyes are focused farther away which reduces eye strain.
