No. You dont. There are other metabolic pathways to produce glucose (or produce ketones). The other pathways ‘push’ the body more since they have to do some conversion. This ‘extra effort’ is considered to be more healthy.

It depends, for short input you're right. But if you're filling a whole form with multiple inputs the pen definitely helps.

It ALWAYS work for a person not having severe diabetes. In case of diabetes (at least type 2) it might actually help, but care is needed.

Something must be going horribly wrong in Greece. You can live easily of 30k in the Netherlands, I would make that to even 25k. Yes, that would mean having no car and using a bike to get around (which is common).
