I was wondering this - I'd buy this if I could just plug it into my existing sockets. I'm pretty sure you could get 50-100 hrs with a battery, but I wonder if you could have something that you wind-up like a mechanical watch.

This is hilariously similar to the ploy George Smiley gets Ricki Tarr to orchestrate from Paris in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

It's very interesting. I am extremely sensitive to THC, in a way I am not to any other drugs. A small amount (5mg) gives me full on disassociation/derealization, very anxious thoughts, etc. I always wondered if other people had th

I have great memories playing kz_ maps for hours in 2005. The amount of skill of some people was mind blowing. Something nostalgic about the feeling of being alone in a kz map at 3am and then hearing someone else hopping around.

Have you tried the Yoto player? Our daughter loves hers and they are pretty cheap. You can load them with your own mp3s too, which we download from BBC Sounds.

My favourite part of this is when they apply their new words to things that technically make sense, but don't. My daughter proudly pointed at a king wearing a crown as "sharp king" after learning about knives, saws, etc.

One side effect of this I remember was that, for a little while, there was a blackmarket of buying MP3s on CD at car boots and flea markets. My dad came home once with a CD with all the Beatles songs. He had paid something like £15 and thou

Soulseek is absolutely awesome at this. Why don't the record labels shut it down? Have they just given up on P2P?

Awesome work! One thing I'm curious about in this space is why people generally generate the sound form directly. I always imagined you'd get better results teaching the model to output parameters which you could feed into synths

Why don't high quality open-source solvers exist? The SOTA in other numerical computing is often open-source. I've always wondered why optimization was different.
