I'm being sincere when I ask: what would you do with a self-taught CS background? I understand many of the larger companies require an understanding of CS principles, but, if not to be a successful developer, how useful is a self-taugh

I love ️Vercel (formerly nextjs). It's such a great platform and their free tier services do a lot of the heavy lifting of configuring a website and managing deployments.

The article seems ti suggests calls and texts to T-Mobile are failing so customers from other providers are likely reporting issues unaware of the source.

I totally agree with you. I will say though, Tailwind with React hooks and Zustand is my go to lately. Feels quite trivial and flexible to build the functionality you mentioned. I've been quite happy with the output. Chakra UI looks fa

Just a general note that the grammar in this article could use some help. I wanted to continue reading but found myself tripping up and losing my train of thought. I'd be more specific if I weren't on mobile.

I wonder if maybe it's in part because he had a bit of an emotional response to the question and was trying to compose himself before responding. It seemed like maybe he kept trying to start but just wasn't ready, which is why he

I moved from Vermont to the Bay Area a couple years ago and the internet service from Burlington Telecom was fast and inexpensive. I think I paid $40 for 150Mbps or something. I'm now basically limited to Xfinity out here and dealing w

Yeah, my understanding is that SARS-CoV-2 has a proofreader enzyme that error corrects, which ensures fidelity during replication. In other words, it mutates a lot slower than say the flu.

Because it's novel and incredibly contagious. Unlike the flu, where many get seasonal flu shots, no one has antibodies for the virus so there's no herd immunity. Meaning it's just spreading like wild fire. And it's all h

I think part of the problem is that cars are getting bigger and roomier, and loaded with more features and safety equipment. I feel like, in general, larger vehicles are less attractive, and when you design bigger trunks, larger engine bays

I just spent most of this year rebuilding the engine in my SUV and this would've been an incredible feature. I either greased up my phone when I needed to look something up, or had to take off my latex gloves, which are a pain to get b

That's really interesting. Whose job is it to actually design and develop the prototype board? It seems like that team would have to know quite a bit, if not nearly everything, about the device.

I believe my issue is different. I wasn't seeing the normal Google auth screen; I signed-out to see if there was an account sync issue, and I can't seem to sign back in now. I click sign-in, the normal Google auth screen pops-up,
