My wife is one of these trainees left out by this "algorithm." She's an intensive care fellow and was caught up in this mess yesterday. It's really hard to witness considering how much I worry about her everyday she&#x27

Chief residents are not always in their final year of training. In some cases, like pediatrics, it's a subsequent leadership year.

I used to race road bikes and segments were a great way to compete during training rides and the off-season. I haven't raced in years, but it was a lot of fun trying to best your teammates time, or someone you race against. Now I mostl

That's great information. Thank you for sharing. I wasn't aware it was operated by the wholesaler to local bookstores, but that makes sense. It seems to be a smooth platform with a massive selection.

Does this mean that after two years, Apple won't support Intel processors anymore? I just bought a 10-core iMac so really hoping that's not the case. My I'm misunderstanding.

Just wanted to plug bookshop.org. It benefits local bookstores and my shopping experiences have been positive. There are other great sites out there, too, if you're willing to buy used or can tolerate slower shipping. I get the appeal

While I agree hospitals should have protocols to handle these situations, it's just not that straight forward. These IT systems are big and complex, and not standardized. I worked on critical systems in the energy sector and while we w

Why would subscriptions over advertising change their target audience? It seems that either way they are trying to get as many eyeballs as possible. Getting repeat subscriptions versus repeat page views (or whatever the ad revenue metric) s

I know there are tradeoffs to using any project framework or generator, but I'm just impressed by the amount of work people dedicate to these open source platforms. Congratulations on the release! I used this for a production applicati

Unless it runs through a different junction box, which it might, it wouldn't matter. The tech said as much, that they could upgrade my plan for free, but it wouldn't make a difference. The node is literally on top of the pole outs

I just cancelled Comcast this week and am in the Bay Area too. I've been going (polite) rounds with their customer support since March. Constantly losing connection, uploads peak at 1Mbps, horribly unreliable. I paid for their 110Mbp

I switched to freetaxusa.com this year after 15+ years in Intuit. I have more complex taxes than the average person and I felt like it went just fine. Really happy with the service. Went from about $150 per year to $15.
