Congrats on the HN launch! Really excited to give this a try I think this could be a huge unlock for my team. One quick issue - unable to connect to my postgres instance that requires SSL. SSH tunneling seems to be broken as well because wh

Hey this looks really cool! Would be curious to know where you're getting the data for what procedures / conditions physicians deal with.

I think the bigger problem is we preach user feedback as the holy grail of product growth, but it's hard to do so when you fully respect privacy (i.e. no sign ups). For example, when I built https://github.com/pdepip&#x

Does anyone have any recommended reading or resources for someone interested in getting involved in similar work?

you should check out my (open source) project https://mmap.io . It's a zero hierarchy, short cut driven note tool. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Full disclosure: I don't have a ton of experience with Dropbox Paper. From what I've seen there aren't many gaps. There are a few markdown elements in paper that I think have cleaner styling (i.e. lists). I also prefer the au

I use this for a short-cut driven note-taking app I've built, https://mmap.it . Excited to see it get some recognition, it's by far the best wysiwyg editor I've found. Best of luck with outline!

For me, the biggest problem with all of these note taking systems is they are clunky. If I want to quickly write something down, or find a piece of information, I have to page through tabs in chrome which totally ruins my focus. To solve th

Awesome! Looks similar to a short-cut driven note taking tool I'm building - https://mmap.it Major difference is mine is focused on longer form documentation and comes with an inline markdown editor. Congrats on the launch!

This game had such a profound impact on my life. When we were in elementary school, everybody in my town seemed to play and a lot of friendships I still have today were formed there. Private servers (moparscape.org) were the reason I got in

I actually wrote a tool like this that's aimed at storing and accessing information: https://mmap.it The main difference is it provides full text search and global keyboard shortcuts so you can access it when you need it, w

This is great! As someone who leverages twitter to find early users for side projects, I'll definitely be using this. One quick nit-picky ui detail - could you potentially make the name link to twitter and not just the username. Awesom

Thanks that really means a lot, the feedback is very much appreciated! Building from source should work on linux. I'm still ironing out a lot of the kinks, the search window going blank is at the top of my list and I am also working on

Yes 100%, you're not the first person to ask. It might be sacrilegious to admit but I never use dark mode so it slipped to back of mind.

We are planning on releasing for both windows and linux soon. Due to the app being focused on accessibility for developer workflows, mobile applications are a little further out on the product roadmap but will be coming eventually!

Thanks! Glad you think so. I've found it's most useful for workflow documentation and code snippets. The main reason I built mmap is I started a new job a few months ago which required learning a ton of new workflows that leverage

Love this! Similar to my project https://mmap.it . For me, the biggest issue with all of these note tools is accessibility. I want to be able to find the information I want with google like search, and no expensive context switch

I've been working on a personal knowledge base called mmap.it. It's like spotlight for all of your workflows and code snippets. Basically combines a markdown editor with full text search and all functionality is made accessible th
