I can and do work on the train. Car commuting is soul sucking. Public transportation commuting isn't great compared to working from home or something but it's not as awful as all that.

East Bay is huge and the BART is fast. You could live in Walnut Creek, Fremont, etc and have a less than 25 min train ride to Oakland. You really can't write off the whole east bay because some of Oakland has a high crime rate.

I'm running iOS7 on my carry phone and all the apps I listed I use day to day and they look fine to me with the rest of the OS. Being styled the same as my home screen is not a strict requirement for me as long as they look good inter

I think every point is overstated. - Most high end apps already have custom views, they're not relying on standard UIKit elements: Evernote, Tweetbot, Fantastical, Spotify, Audible, Alien Blue, etc. - Web apps can skimp a bit on the tr

It really depends on how well everything works but that seems reasonable even for part time use. I like to compile a lot while i'm coding and I typically make heavy use of the simulator so i'm still a bit skeptical. Looking forw

I've sat in Aeron chairs and never been that impressed with them. I got my ideal chair for $170 or so at Ikea and i'm incredibly happy with it. I have one at home and one in the office now. I'm not sure if there's a bet

Coding from starbucks at the moment. It's definitely doable. Our office has an open floor plan and once in a while there are conversations I wish I could block out a little more effectively but it's not a daily frustration.

> “Honestly,” one 15-year-old girl told Pew, “I'm on it constantly but I hate it so much.” Maybe I'm too far from high school but I can't picture a situation where you would have to use FB "constantly" even though you "hate it". It's n

You'd have to remove iMessage features for that. Currently iMessage syncs between devices which is extremely useful. If each device generated it's own key that syncing wouldn't be possible.

I use photoshop. I don't manage revisions effectively for PSDs. It hasn't been a concern for me in the past but if there was an easy way I'd probably use it.

If you want to put in some additional effort, a 99c in app purchase is a great option. If not, this game looks polished enough that you could charge for it. Try it at 99c or $1.99, you can always revert it back to free.

Seemed to me like the goal was to land a non technical job in the tech scene. So for people who don't want to learn to code, here's a quick start guide for getting the skills you need to get into BD, QA, etc at a tech startup.
