Correct. Business phone lines (generally) exist to get unsolicited phone calls from people with whom the owner has no existing business relationship.

It always blows my mind how many CS academics have these god-awful mid-90s era webpages.

I got the impression that the majority of projects were successfully funded; this is likely due in part to the fact that the majority of projects you see on Kickstarter have been successfully funded. I don't see any problem with the way Kic

Google's open-source software is largely the reason it's a money fountain in the first place (via advertising).

No phone an a Wifi-only iPad might be a good choice for your first paragraph (assuming you have reliable wireless at your home), although the size would hinder mobility a decent bit.

The design is almost identical to discovercircle.com (I have no relationship with that site). Is this a CMS theme?

PUSH looks perfect to me, but while I wouldn't say the PULL example is anti-affordance it is at best confusing. If the handles were rounded and rotated so the curve faced the user ( http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00fviQTDboYJqL/Door-Pul

I want to work with you. I've currently got a ~4' whiteboard, a ~13" laptop with a ~15" 4:3 monitor attached to it in my cube. Takes some getting used to compared to the IdeaPaint-covered WALL at my home office and the two 24" widescreens.

How much (if at all) were uniques v. pageviews taken into account? Was it better to have 10,000 people visit the site twice a day or 2,000 people ten times a day?

I don't think anyone is purchasing on CPI anymore. What happens is with the multiple pageviews the odds of a click go up. It's not linear, so you won't get 3x the revenue on a 3-page article v. a 1-page article, but it's still an increase.

I would imagine re-incorporating just to screw ABC out of an equity or royalty agreement would be a pretty easy way to end up in a courtroom explaining how what you didn't wasn't some sort of fraud.
