I thought that the xfinitywifi was just for Comcast subscribers. You can't call it "wifi everywhere" if it's only usable by certain people.

Some of us live in apartment complexes where a lot of APs are broadcasting in a small area, and the 3 non-overlapping channels in 2.4ghz are pretty limiting.

At what I consider a "nice" coffee place, I'm paying for a better cup of coffee (preferably roasted in-house or nearby, and a few days ago rather than months ago). What you said is true, but there is some coffee that's p

A huge amount of infrastructure is needed for Facebook's scale. People have to create, manage, and maintain that infrastructure. And that's ignoring the multitude of complex user-facing products Facebook has (the number of which h

I thought it was "employment" through services like Uber where workers are independent contractors who set their own hours.

Is it necessarily to the detriment of social skills, though, or is it just a reflection of the evolution of what social skills are relevant to modern life? People have made similar arguments against the use of internet social communications

Why should people have to deal with something unpleasant when a tool could be created to avoid it? Do you refuse to use any form of powered transportation because it makes people terrible at handling the complexities of walking?

You could install crouton without a DE and use the built-in shell to do whatever you wanted if you had a need to do development work and wanted to use ChromeOS without a full graphical Ubuntu install. You would have access to apt and vim.

This is much more inconvenient than just pirating the music, and if you plan on subscribing to a streaming service long-term, there isn't any point in doing this since you'll just have access to the song through the paid service (

Instagram accounts aren't private by default, and posts can be embedded in other web pages (e.g. a lot of clickbait "journalism" does this), though it does not have a friendly logged-out interface like Twitter.

The word "hacker" is completely meaningless now. Based on OP's intro ("wannabe-entrepreneur") , I don't think it means "penetration tester" in this context.
