Filen is quite good, is E2E encrypted and currently offering (final round of) lifetime plans for Black Friday. They are not super mature yet (though have been around for several years) so the product still has some improvements to be made,

They put the drive select stalk back after feedback, and they never had a dashboard on the 3 and Y (I have a Model 3 and it works fine without one). Can't speak for defog or mechanical door release, I haven't noticed either, but w

I'm fairly sure/wishful thinking that the reason the last round of Valve hardware was very late/absent in Australia was because it was the time that the ACCC took Valve to court for its no refunds policy (and won). Now that V

It's annoying these get grouped in the taskbar unlike Chrome profiles. Surely the main use case is to have a "Firefox" and a "Firefox (Work)" pinned separately to the taskbar and have them act as two completely diff

This is a myth: https://www.epa.gov/greenvehicles/electric-vehicle-myths Because of the efficiency of the EV motor vs. the ICE motor, EVs are far cleaner than ICEVs even when fossil-fuel-powered and that's not fac

I always thought this could be what the Framework Desktop is. They could have made them stackable, so you could have one of these, with a GPU "hat" stacked on, connected via USB4/PCIe/whatever.

There was a "healthy" phone called the Bloc Phone which had the screen in Black & White by default but allowed you to use the fingerprint on the back at any time to give you a few minutes of colour when (say) looking through y

The main difference is the chassis is ~ 10% of the cost of a desktop. It's ~ 40% (?) of the cost of a Framework, so rolling it forward (with screen, speakers, mic, keyboard, webcam etc.) saves you a fair bit more value. I haven't

Well said. I have a Wiim Pro & Mini, and love them both. And it's the best way of minimising waste (given some waste is inevitable as standards change, until they let us change the board inside the Wiim or something!)
