That depends on how this outrage develops. If it turns out that it hurts recruiting in the future, damages morale, or flat out pisses off a sizable number of people who now have a beef with Google, then it may hurt them more than it helps t

No quite sure what you mean, if you write something like this: void DoSomething(Fuit fruit, uint quantity) { .. } Inside that method you will be guaranteed to receive only apples or bananas and a non-negative integer for quantity.

Whether it's worth the effort is debatable. When you (not you specifically, in general) design a database, do you use types, do you mark a field as int or let everything be a string? Yes, when you code you can make sure to only put "integer

Up until Froyo (2.2) I had to kill tasks every now and then (or simply reboot) because it was slowing down to a crawl. All the animations were getting choppy, took a lot longer for applications to start, and so on. I guess they fixed or twe

One thing that puzzles me is the "expressiveness" factor. When I read code, in any language, I translate that code into blocks / models, not English. I don't read the code as I would read a book or an article. That would take too much effor

Ideally, in my opinion, when the browser makes a request for example.com/something the server should send a continuous stream of data. It could work something like this: 1) The browser sends the request along with a list of files it already

You're comparing apples to oranges. One is graphical while the other is text based. I've personally never had issues with RDP and bandwidth. If you have multiple connections open you can minimize the RDP window; the connection is maintained

If you have FRF50 try this http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/06/23/latest-nexus-one-fro... edit: BobbyPhoenix (check link above) claims that if you have FRF72 you can flash back to FRF50 and then apply FRF83 and it will work.

It's not what he's saying that gives it the anti-Microsoft flavor; it's calling every Microsoft programmer a Dick. Hiding behind this moniker that is obviously insulting -- and the author proves he knows this when he says "short for Richard
