I'm not sure I believe that. All evidence points to businesses and people becoming very effective at cost-cutting following a drop in income.

It wasn't the budget that was cut by 41%, just the government's contribution. There's still tuition, bonds, etc.

Unpopular opinion: there's probably a lot of fat to be cut and this is possibly the only way to do it. Prediction: The most customer-unfriendly trimming will come first.

"they do pretty crappy job of being a car as good as one that costs half as much" I would disagree emphatically with this assertion. The UX in particular seems to have been very thoughtfully considered whereby the few controls tha

With services like DistroKid (from F'd Company creator "Pud") I'm wondering how big of a deal this actually is? The optics definitely are lousy. https://distrokid.com

"Luxury, modern, new vehicles driven by statistically more wealthy drivers". As far as risk aversion, I would say this group and Tesla owners are near opposites. Add in the completely different torque and breaking behavior. A comp

Retool looks super neat but I'm wondering how it works in practice. Any experience here?

Did you know there are 1.5 million auto-related deaths per year around the world. And in 7 years around 23 associated with Teslas? And none of the autopilot accidents affecting other people?

Sounds wrong. First of all, I'm pretty sure it's not the SEC which forbids selling the first 6 months. It's the underwriting banks that enforce this on pre-ipo shareholders in order to protect the price volatility of the offe

I don’t think being realistic is incompatible with being optimistic.

There is never anything wrong with being relentlessly optimistic/positive because not reaching your optimistic/positive objectives never matters! Note: I did not read the article.

Micro deposits definitely do not work fine. If banks offered an authenticated way to confirm bank account & routing number instantly and without access to txn history, would be much better.

Plaid is mainly US where PSD2 does not apply. Banks sometimes get together to work on these topics but it rarely goes well (see ofx/ofc). What more frequently happens is a company like Plaid forces it and then works with banks to satan

I think OKRs are intended to mitigate the lack of customer awareness exhibited in this post. If you’re having that hard of a time linking your efforts to your paying customers, that sounds like a problem.

College presumably increases the borrowers earning potential. Not so, a house. Average student debt load I believe is much less than $100k. 5% interest accrues very modestly. The bankruptcy thing is irrelevant to this discussion.

"Just throw in an ICE" is your grand idea? That sounds like the argument folks were making to add a keyboard to iPhones. Perhaps you weren't aware that Teslas are holding 80%+ of their charges over 300k miles and are expected

I don't totally understand the idea of forgiving student debt. Isn't it fairly healthy to take out a loan to invest in yourself and then pay it back?
