Very clear visibility into ability to payoff on double-digit yields?

Following your suggestion would be terrible for Tesla investors. Elon is demonstrating quite profoundly that he does not allow things to die. That is probably the main thing keeping TSLA at a $40b market cap with upside potential.

If Tesla can get China factory open, the Y launched and some more stable financial ground, I do believe Elon & Tesla will indeed work on the residential solar business in earnest and that it is a reasonable Tesla product offering.

If you've spent much time at all in pretty much any European country you would know how much better the general quality of life is than in USA, even/especially amongst the poor. I'm not sure consumption is the best metric.

I think PayPal tried something like this awhile back that did not get much traction. "PayPal Apps" Developer Guide (2010): https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/en_US/developer/docs...

I LOVE Web2py! I use it for pretty much all of my projects. It is the only Python framework that is super easy to use, has enough "batteries included" but not too much, super simple and super powerful templating, decent migrations

That's a much better reason than the legal one, imo.

Is that really true in practice, though? Are there any (ANY!) examples of the issue actually arising and not going in the owner's favor?

I feel the opposite. The boilerplate S-1 stuff can be very mis-leading and unhelpful when trying to figure out how the business is and can work.

I'm not sure this is always or even mostly the case. Would love to see regulations with a fixed sunset date like 10 years or something.

Probably not wrong. But frequently only happened to some ONE and now we have these idiotic rules that stifle everyone.

Could an effort like this ever be implemented as an (backwards compatible) extension to or modification of something existing with traction?

I would say 90% of software is glorified CRUD. Very little is that complicated. Over-complicated, for sure.

Considering Python can power the largest web sites (Netflix, Instagram), I don’t understand why there’s so much use of much more complicated platform/languages (eg java, .net)? Note: I am an amateur which is likely the reason for my ig

To figure out Uber's core business economics look at Lyft's Contribution Margin which rose to 46%. Uber's, which includes a lot more immature markets, went back positive to around 9%. ie, core business prints money.

This is the "Master Plan" Elon outlined 13 years ago so it's curious that 2 articles would come out today (this and one from WSJ) with the exact same misunderstanding. https://www.tesla.com/blog/secret-te

I probably should have left out the "either way" since I mainly meant technical topics. Since you mention them though, many are not Google things. And others I would reject (ex: free food & gym).

No exactly what I expected. I was thinking it would be more technical. Either way, there is very little, possibly nothing, that a company not named Google can borrow from Google. The scale and venue that Google operates in too different.

I don't think it's worth a downvote but what you list out is one of the worst examples of "why use SaaS? this convoluted self-assembled mish mash of randomness already exists" I've seen.
