Sounds like a cool idea, I don't need it at the moment but I do have a few questions: 1) What happens if you don't deliver in 24 hours? Can I bet my business on your promises? 2) What is your copyright assignment language? I'

Seems to be trying to fit Haskell into Go, which is probably not what you want to do. What exactly do "sum types" get you that a more direct implementation does not? This may be a case where the simplified example isn't descr

As someone with a PhD... yes. It was good for me and my career plans... but I actively tell people NOT to pursue one in this job/funding climate. I know quite a few people who basically have no aspirations past the PhD, and hence no re

um. I guess I retract my "closed source" comment and amend it to "not open source". 234M .app seems pretty heavyweight - do you really need all these node packages in the bundle? If I'm running localhost, why do I n

There are so many times when I've remembered a random sentence I read and wanted to find the article to quote again later. This is perfect! Like others here, I'm very curious about your business model, especially since this is clo

WTF. I click the link "Get started with fabric" and start the signup process, and then it says "we'll be in touch" like this was a beta invite-only thing? Seriously false advertising. I doubt I'll look at it, e

I wonder if they're not releasing that info so they have the ability to lower the price if Apple TV makes any price cuts/big features tomorrow.

It's a neat analysis from a mathematical perspective, but (especially for a rotating component like this) wouldn't the lighting be all wrong for the remapped pixels? The slow-speed scanning examples use a fixed image (note the hig

I agree a bitset is probably a better use here, but this may be a case where the requirements or actual usage numbers tilt the design this way? I'm guessing if the size of the vector is very large, and the set bits are very sparse, the

For small contracts, I usually ask for half up-front and half at delivery. Medium-size might be in thirds with the second payment invoiced when they get the prototype. For large contracts I tend to do monthly payments with a little bit of f

That's pretty interesting too, I'm going to play with it. Thanks! I recently stumbled across the standard expvar package[1] which lets me debug memory usage and annotated metrics. Similar concept from a different angle I guess. 1.

AFAICT, in my limited experience with irods and reading through the dat docs. Is that irods is mainly a data distribution mechanism. Whereas dat here seems to be the a generic ETL framework (data extraction and munging).
