No one has a natural right to have their work protected by copyright. Copyright is supposed to be a deal to encourage creativity _and_ benefit the public domain. Capitalists have distorted it to be a means to pay the producers (ie capital h

Personally, as copyright is a non-natural right, we should limit it for films/tv/shows such that whatever price it is sold for, then it is made available for any distributor to sell for after a very limited monopoly period (1 year

Dang is a mod here, he's commented previously on how these posts are made, saying they're 'semi-automated'. I imagine if you search for "comments" in their comments you'll find threads with more details.

As orphans (?) did you get scholarships to the private school? I'm curious if you couldn't afford to eat, how the school worked out? Did the jobs come through school connections?

I think I'd combine the two features, each tab group having it's own container. I'm sure some use would lose their space-bar actuated room heater or whatever the relevant xkcd is.

The parent is clearly bemoaning the lack of apparent creativity that comes from a FOSS golden child. Yes, implement generic features like vertical tabs (but who wouldn't implement them at this point without nesting?), but some creative

You've twice written about what is the wrong way to learn a new language -- what's your right way? Why did you use Duo' instead of 'the right way'? Perhaps that explains why one might create a OSS version of Duo.

When i read OP this is what I thought it was going to be - these branches are going to be apex competitors, these are crossing or going to cross, this one shows signs of disease, this one interrupts air flow through the centre, etc.

Presumably emergency phone comms still work(?) so they could issue instructions to do a phased (heh!) restart to avoid every fridge/air conditioner/whatever restarting at once. Not sure how successful that would be however.

Reasonable criticism of the analogy, but the point was/is that this chicanery weakened the effect of the legislation allowing more CO² than would otherwise have been the case. Thus, the spirit of the law was not respected.

Sounds like that might have been a copyright issue? In the UK a transcript of a show would need permission of the writers/owners to be reproduced. I can see Wikipedia would be sensible to disallow infringing works as being bad sources.
