Wait, so you mean security issues were found in a security conference where google pays top dollar to researchers who find security issues so Google can fix them ASAP? Why is that a bad thing?

I appreciate your work, and I see that the site has improved a lot since last time I visited it! I also noted that some of my complaints have already been addressed (well, at least by gitlab. bitbucket not so much) I have two suggestions re

The lack of corporate BS on that page really surprised me: BLU Products has identified and has quickly removed a recent security issue caused by a 3rd party application which had been collecting unauthorized personal data in the form of te

I know that at least some gitlab people hang out on HN. I am really curious what they think of this issue. In particular, I want to hear if they plan to make the hosted projects easier to discover and the developer pages more attractive. Th

The DTEK60 sounds interesting. If Blackberry can get this to market for a realistic price (300-400 is okay, 700 is not) I will probably get one of those.

This reminds me of that old discussion between Linus and ESR where the ESR tries really hard and has a lot of really good arguments but Linux doesn't care because he is right. The thread was on HN last year, I think the title was some

Well, they paid good money to license the ARM components and their documentation actually adds to the standard ARM documentation by filling in some device-specific gaps. But not everything here comes from ARM, look for example at their powe

I think you are misunderstanding the situation. Both chips contain a CPU from ARM, so far so good. For the rest of the chip allwinner uses modern, well documented and battle proven components mainly from ARM. To save a few cents, broadcom u

I had the same experience with high volumes. However, I think a lot of issues was due to documentation not being written at all (or being in very bad shape).
