I think we're well past the "dlss is just FSR2 with lookup tables, you can ALWAYS replicate the outcomes of neural algorithms with deterministic ones" phase, imo. if that's the case you have billion-dollar opportunities

if you don't think 3060 ti and 3080 and 970/980 ti were cheap products in the overall sense of the cost-trend of the market... you might be a fanboy. I've said it before and it's true today: a lot of people don't th

Not without breaking the support contract? If you change PTX format then CUDA 1.0 machines can no longer it and it's no longer PTX. Again, you are missing the point. Java is both a language (java source) and a machine (the JVM). The

PTX is just an ISA too. Programming languages annd ISA representations are effectively fungible, that’s the lesson of Microsoft CLR/Intermediate Language and Java too. A “machine” is a hardware and a language.

All versions of CUDA support PTX, which is an intermediate bytecode/compiler representation that can be finally-compiled by even CUDA 1.0. So the contract is: as long as your future program does not touch any intrinsics etc that do not

I think that's a very tech-centric (and specifically FAANG-centric) mindset, most people are not getting RSOs or options and aren't under any impression their fate is entwined with the stock price. on the other hand you are right

wow I never knew pass(1) cost money, how does that work? isn’t it GPL and all???? (keepass2/keepass xc are more user-friendly and free, strongbox is another good front-end for keepass files as well.)

Your mental password-generation scheme is equally susceptible to the “master password” being lost or forgotten. Why do you assume you can remember a bunch of rules plus a password, if you can’t remember the password itself? Synchronizing is

it wouldn't be uncommon for the fab not to be announced or not announced up front. it's not really a consumer-facing spec, and it's not NVIDIA's announcement to make. samsung and intel foundry services are both serious

frankly this was also my experience with chatgpt. every single request was initially "no, I can't do that" and having to wheedle and cajole it into working. and I wasn't asking it to build me a bomb, it was basic stuff.

11bn on 19bn is only because of AI sales - when you are selling $40k enterprise chips for $100k it's going to push margins up. The 2022 numbers are before AI kicked in, and those numbers are roughly comparable to what Radeon Group make
